New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District Field Organizer

 

 

Position Summary: 

The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is seeking Field Organizers to work in New Jersey’s 3rd congressional district to re-elect Congressman Andy Kim. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to expand the volunteer network for the campaign. Field Organizers will manage and execute voter contact tactics such as phone banks, canvasses, voter registration drives, and visibility events. Field Organizers should be high energy, outgoing, and enthusiastic. 

Qualifications: 

• Strong interpersonal and team building skills

• Organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to the election of Democrats up and down the ballot 

• Adaptable to changing needs and program priorities

• Positive attitude 

• Previous political campaign experience is valued but not required

 

This position is full time and cycle only. Applicants must have a reliable laptop, cell phone, and vehicle. Applicants must also be comfortable working long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends, and have an understanding that campaigns are never a 9-5 job.
