Finance Director
The Florida Senate Victory team is seeking an experienced, full time Finance Director to run an aggressive fundraising operation to support democrats running in red-to-blue targeted races. The Finance Director will work closely with the Campaign Manager and the Senate Victory team to execute the fundraising plan.
Senate Victory is the only full time political organization dedicated to protecting democrats in the Florida Senate and to building a democratic majority.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a multifaceted finance plan with programs aimed at multiple donor categories (including PACs, high and low dollar individuals, and other institutional givers)
Mange candidate call time, including prepping call sheets and conducting all follow up correspondence, and officially thanking donors.
Build on, manage, and improve the existing donor database to identify, research, and recruit new donors.
Plan, schedule, and manage small and large scale fundraising events, ranging from small local gatherings to large format events with 100+ attendees.
Work with the campaign Treasurer and campaign manager to establish and maintain accurate records of bank account, contributions and expenditures, and assist the Treasurer with contribution and expenditure report filings when needed.
Qualifications
Strong commitment to electing Democrats to state government.
Minimum one cycle (two preferred) statewide or legislative committee finance director or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience in cultivating major gifts ($5,000+) from both individual donors and like-minded organizations preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with NGP or other finance software.
Lives in or willing to relocate to Florida for the duration of the campaign cycle.
Work extended hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
