Job Description

A progressive Democratic candidate for U.S. House is seeking a hard-working and energetic Field Organizer for a primary campaign in the New York metropolitan area. The Field Organizer is responsible for building out the campaign's organizing capacity by recruiting and training canvassers in order to help execute the campaign's voter contact program. The Field Organizer works closely with the Field Director and volunteers to ensure the campaign's message is delivered throughout the district through canvassing, phone banking, texting, peer-to-peer organizing, and other methods.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of canvassers in execution of field and organizing strategy

Implement rigorous processes for meeting assigned goals associated with each metric on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

Monitor metrics including knocks per shifts, flake rate, completion rate, and confirmation rate

Coach and train staff on best practices for organizing, paid canvassing recruitment, and retention

Prioritize quality voter interactions without sacrificing quantity

Ensure timely and accurate data entry and reporting

Represent the organization at community events and meetings when assigned

Qualifications

At least 1 cycle of campaign field experience

Proven track record of meeting voter contact goal

Ability to work well in a team environment

Access to a car

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting frequent deadlines

Extensive experience with and ability to train on Votebuilder (VAN)

Strong communication and organizational skills, showing attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
