Regional Organizing Director in NY Red to Blue District

Reports To: Field Director

Background: The Jackie Gordon Campaign is a targeted red to blue race on Long Island, vying for an open seat. After winning the primary with over 70% of the vote, our Field Team is committed to using classic campaign methods and innovative grassroots organizing to flip this seat. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Managing and training Field Organizers on hard skills, as well as soft skills
• Assisting Field Director with texting systems, training materials, as well as data cleaning and record keeping
• Helping to coordinate GOTV efforts

Required Skills and Background:

• At least 2 cycles of experience, one of which must be as a Field Organizer
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of VAN
• Back-end experience with at least one texting platform
• A willingness to think creatively, to work collaboratively, along with a willingness to try new ideas
• Must be comfortable with a diverse work environment
• Able and willing to relocate to the district 

Compensation is $4,000/month, health insurance included
