DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The Opportunity:
Mind the Gap is a pro bono political advisory that recommends data-driven investments across the Democratic ecosystem. We are looking for a smart, well-organized, ambitious person to support all aspects of the donor experience, including donor research, data maintenance, outreach, cultivation and development. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in political finance/fundraising and build managerial skills working with a small, high-energy, entrepreneurial team with a very strong track record and extensive Silicon Valley network. We are looking for candidates who can start right away. Location: Palo Alto, CA.
Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of donor relations, from initial outreach to contribution processing and ongoing stewardship
Manage donor data and reporting to support fundraising strategy
Perform donor prospecting and write briefings in advance of meetings and events
Plan and organize events, including coordination with host committees, guest communications, and post-event follow up
Communicate recommended strategies, answer questions, manage the contribution process, and acknowledge donations
Other duties as assigned
You should be someone who:
Has great written and verbal communication skills
Is extremely comfortable with Google Drive/Docs/Sheets
Is attentive to detail and has a high degree of discretion, diplomacy, and tact
Has good problem-solving skills and initiative
Can work independently and with a team
Has great multitasking skills and can prioritize and be flexible
Is motivated and a self-starter
Has an interest in politics and is committed to electing Democrats in 2020
Your skills and experience might (but are not required to) include:
Working on a political or advocacy campaign, particularly as a scheduler, field organizer, or finance assistant
Using NGP, Salesforce, or other customer relationship management (CRM) software
Working directly with customers in any capacity
Additional experiences that are not required, but may help you be successful in this job include:
Some familiarity with scientific methods/analytics/statistics
Using advanced Google Sheets/Excel functions like VLookup and Pivot Tables
Coordinating events of any kind

Salary: This is a full-time, cycle-only position, starting immediately and lasting until the end of December, 2020. The starting annual salary is $80,000.
