Field Organizer -- Dr. Cameron Webb for Congress
The Cameron Webb for Congress Campaign is seeking enthusiastic Field Organizers to build grassroots momentum across Virginia’s 5th Congressional District and elect Dr. Webb.
Compensation: $3000 / month
Location: Varies within Virginia’s 5th Congressional District
**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE RELOCATION TO VA-05
Responsibilities:
* Implement the campaign’s field plan in assigned turf
* Recruit, train, and manage interns and volunteers to engage in direct voter contact
* Meet and exceed various weekly metrics including volunteer recruitment and retainment goals
* Plan and lead voter contact events including phone banks, text banks, and virtual community outreach events
* Develop relationships with local Democratic organizations
* Cultivate volunteer leadership and grow volunteer teams to execute a successful GOTV operation
* Other campaign duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Commitment to electing Dr. Cameron Webb and creating lasting Democratic infrastructure in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
* Well-organized with solid time management skills
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to think creatively
* Adaptable to changes in priorities
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and metrics-driven work environment
* Creative, solutions-oriented, and ready to take on the challenges of organizing during a pandemic
Preferred (not required):
* Proficiency with Votebuilder/VAN
* Organizing experience (paid, unpaid, or volunteer)

This position is full-time and cycle only. Applicants must be comfortable working long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends. Applicants must also have access to a laptop and a vehicle or other reliable transportation.
