Fair Share seeks an Executive Director to build the organization’s profile and programs, develop and implement programmatic strategy, fundraise, and recruit, hire, and train program staff.

We prioritize campaigns that can provide short‐term victories while simultaneously moving a larger, progressive agenda forward. We engage in issue and election campaigns.
Responsibilities:
· Identify and build campaigns around which to build the organization.
· Identify and develop policy handles, messaging, and campaign strategy.
· Build support for programs and campaigns via coalitions, grassroots organizing, and new and traditional media publicity.
· Develop and implement a marketing strategy to build the public image of the organization and increase visibility in new and traditional media and within the national political community.
· Lead high touch fundraising efforts including foundation and donor fundraising.
· Recruit, hire, and train program staff.
· Provide back up to field campaigners.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in grassroots organizing, organization building, and/or campaign politics. Related advanced degrees may count towards experience. The ideal candidate will have program experience, the ability to lead, and excellent writing and organizational skills.
