Junior United States Senator from Oregon Jeff Merkley seeks a Digital Director to cultivate and build the Senator’s digital presence across platforms.  The right candidate will be familiar with trends and innovations in social media, have a track record of driving creative content and growing audiences, and be able to shape a data-driven strategy that continues building the Senator’s profile as a leading progressive policymaker. 

 

The Digital Director will be part of a the communications team, specific responsibilities include developing an overall digital strategy, drafting content and posting to social media accounts, creating shareable infographics and video content, maintaining the Senator’s website and working with the web vendors to develop new features, drafting and overseeing proactive email communications to constituents, and using analytics to evaluate and evolve the office’s digital efforts. The Digital Director must have a proven track record of growing a digital presence for a campaign, candidate or organization. The ideal candidate will have keen political savvy and relationships with progressive groups in the online space.
