Position Summary:
The Manager, Impact will be part of a regional team working to inspire and support the civic leadership of LEE members. This individual will support the Director of Impact’s efforts to identify, train, and make LEE members more effective in the pipelines to policy leadership, organizing, and advocacy leadership, along with a specialized focus on elected leadership.
This role will involve meeting individually and building relationships with LEE members in order to inspire them about their own leadership potential and connect them to training and experiential opportunities that match their desired impact. The Manager will significantly support the planning and execution of regional training opportunities and initiatives to grow the regional LEE membership and will also assist in organizing efforts led by LEE members and the Director of Program and Organizing in the region. Additionally, the manager will dedicate efforts to inspiring and coaching potential candidates of elected office through LEE’s unique framework of candidate cultivation.
As a team member in a growing and dynamic organization, the Manager will adapt to evolving understandings of the most effective path to impact.
Position Location: Bay Area, CA
Travel Requirements: 20-30%; includes travel between communities/areas in region and occasional travel out of state for conferences
Responsibilities:
Engaging the LEE membership base in the Bay Area (40%)
Recruit and coach members for elected leadership positions (30%):
Lead event execution across all programs, including supporting LEE’s collective action efforts in the region (20%)
Administrative and Team Meetings (10%)
