Field Director Job Description


Overview:

In the 2018 midterms, Jason Crow beat 5-term Republican incumbent Mike Coffman by 11%, winning a seat that no Democrat had ever held. Colorado’s 6th congressional district was Colorado's most expensive race in history in 2018 and is expected to be targeted heavily by both parties this year again. Congressman Crow is seeking reelection to continue representing Colorado’s CD6 in Congress.


Responsibilities:

The Field Director is responsible for designing and executing the field plan for Crow for Congress 2020, with a heavy emphasis on good data practices and management. This includes but is not limited to:


  • Create, execute and oversee the 2020 field plan for Crow for Congress

  • Hire, train, and manage field staff, volunteers, and field interns

  • Coordinate with stakeholder groups and organizations 

  • Work with the CM to create and reach aggressive voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals, and track and report progress on a regular basis

  • Manage digital voter contact tools like MobilizeUS, OutVote, and Team


Qualifications:

  • 2+ cycles of field experience, including at least one cycle overseeing and executing a large volunteer-driven field program

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Strong knowledge of VAN/VoteBuilder, Microsoft Office, and the Google Suite

  • Willingness to work extensive hours, often weekends

  • Reliable transportation

  • Knowledge of peer-to-peer texting tools and relational organizing is a plus

  • Spanish speaker strongly preferred

  • Colorado experience strongly preferred


Compensation:

Commensurate with experience, the target window is $4,500-$5,500 monthly.
