San Francisco Bay Area Political Consulting Firm Seeks Professional Field Director(s) and Field Organizer(s) for various projects.
We are a leading San Francisco Bay Area political consulting and media firm and are seeking qualified candidates to fill the following positions in San Francisco and other Bay Area cities:
1) Senior-level field director(s)
2) Multiple positions for mid to entry-level field organizer(s) for various campaigns and projects around the San Francisco Bay Area.
Directors and organizers will be responsible for developing and implementing a strong and visible field operation and political organizing program including but not limited to managing paid door-to-door canvass and phone programs; community outreach; and political outreach.
Successful candidates for this position will demonstrate the ability to fully understand the public policy issue(s) at hand and present it in a clear and appealing manner to diverse groups in one-on-one meetings and during presentations in front of large and small groups.
S/he needs superior organizational and motivational skills to coordinate, attract and inspire supporters. Organizer's goal is to build a grassroots coalition and ID and mobilize supporters to take direct action.
Examples of possible work include:
· Drafting field and event plans
· Managing all aspects of a paid door-to-door canvassing program and/or phone program including hiring, training, payroll management, script writing, nightly reporting and weekly reporting
· Conducting voter registration drives
· Recruiting supporters to attend and speak at legislative hearings
· Crowd building for events
· Organizing petition drives
· Motivating supporters to submit letters-to-the-editor, post content online and take other actions etc.
Requirements
· At least one cycle of campaign or relevant experience for organizers. At least three cycles of campaign or relevant experience for field directors.
· Excellent communication and writing skills.
· Available to work irregular hours and has a strong work ethic.
· Ability to accomplish assigned tasks on time and with limited supervision.
· Ability to submit nightly and weekly report on time all the time.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred skills
· Ability to speak: Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean, or Tagalog.
· Background in organizing for ballot initiatives or candidate campaigns.
· Experience organizing on social media
· Experience managing voter registration programs
· Proficiency with VAN and/or Nationbuilder or similar voter file.
· InDesign and Photoshop skills
· GIS mapping
· Bay Area campaign experience is helpful.
While we prefer candidates with campaign experience we may be willing to train the right person.
