Sarasota Democratic Party Canvass Director
The Sarasota Democratic Party is expanding our team in advance of 2020 and is seeking a Canvass Director who can thrive in a dynamic, data-driven environment. This position will require nontraditional hours (nights and weekends).
Description of Duties
Recruit, hire and manage a staff of paid canvassers.
Safe door-to-door canvassing in accordance with social distancing guidelines.
Accurate tracking of voter contact data on a daily basis using MiniVAN.
Qualifications:
We are looking for college graduates who have leadership experience and excellent communication skills. Ideal candidates would possess the following characteristics:
Dedicated to electing Democratic and progressive candidates in Sarasota County
Possesses strong communication skills
Enjoys talking to new people
Able to work productively on their own and manage time effectively
Interested in building change in their communities
Familiarity with VAN (required)
Start
Position starts as soon as possible
Pay
Pay for the Canvass Director position will be $5k for the entire period of work. The position is currently slated to run through November 3rd, 2020.
