Paid Canvass Director - Nebraska Democratic Party

The Nebraska Democratic Party is seeking an experienced Canvass Director to recruit, train and coach Canvass Team. Canvass Director will work closely with, and report to Field Director and engage the local electorate through door-to-door and high traffic canvassing. Canvass Director will manage a team of 10 to 50 canvassers.

Canvass Director will be responsible for recruitment, staff management, canvassing and administrative day-to-day tasks. Canvass Director will carefully track expenses, manage a budget, and process human resource tasks. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate and reliable data.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• At least one to two cycles of campaign experience of managing a  team of field organizers, or canvassers
  
• Proven ability to recruit, train and mentor a Canvass Team
  
• Demonstrated ability to hit goals
  
• Dedication and ability to work flexible and extended hours
  
• A high level of self-motivation and proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  
• Proficiency with VAN, Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
  
• Previous payroll experience a plus
  
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  
• Other duties as needed
