The Deputy Operations Directors will work with in-state operations directors, and provide operations support for the national Rising program. They will work across departments to ensure state teams are set up for success, particularly with regards to compliance, budget management, and field operations. Regional Operations Managers will also help coordinate interdepartmental projects within their assigned pod. The two Regional Operations Managers will report to the National Operations Director. Preference for the position to be based in San Francisco, but possibility to be remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with the state teams and the national finance team to help manage the national budget and help oversee state budget processes
Coach state operations directors in budget management, working with vendors, hiring, reporting, and field operations strategy
Manage the logistical and operations needs for national events and programs
Build out processes and systems for streamlined communication across states and with the National office
Help create the national Operations program
Develop tools and resources for state Operations staff
Work with the National Operations Director to ensure all states are operating at a consistently high level
Track organizational progress and develop comprehensive reports

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES DESIRED:

At least one cycle of field operations experience
Experience working with vendors and handling compliance and reporting
Ability to coach remote operations directors
A self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively manage across organizational chart
Proficiency with Google Apps and excel, excellent organizational skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues; works well in a fast‐paced environment and able to multi‐task without sacrificing quality of work.
The ability to adapt rapidly to evolving priorities and deadlines
Driven with a strong work ethic
Ability to travel upwards of 50% of the time and work flexible hours
