Gretchen Driskell for Congress is seeking highly motivated and passionate Field Organizersto elect Gretchen Driskell and flip Michigan’s 7th congressional district. Field Organizers will be responsible for executing the Campaign’s aggressive organizing program in their assigned part of the district. 

Reports to: Regional Field Director

Job duration: Through November 15th, 2020

About: 

Gretchen Driskell is a three term city councilwoman, seven-term mayor, and two-term state representative for the 52nd District in the Michigan House of Representatives. She also built a successful career in Saline as a real estate agent and accountant. As a member of City Council, as Mayor, and as State Representative, Gretchen Driskell has been a strong advocate for job-creation, working families, public education, and the environment. 


Michigan’s 7th district was a top tier race last cycle and Driskell came within a narrow margin of beating the incumbent. She is an experienced candidate who values strong field programs. You will join a team of experienced, hardworking political operatives who value growth, grassroots community organizing, and having fun! 


Key Responsibilities: 
  • Build local grassroots teams to engage in direct voter contact to mobilize voters, manage recruitment and retention of volunteers
  • Implement robust intern program in assigned turf
  • Attend community events as a representative of Team Driskell
  • Work to develop strong political relationships with local stakeholders and constituency groups
  • Help flip MI-07! 

Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds
  • A demonstrated history of attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
  • A growth mindset: ability to take and implement feedback
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics- driven work environment
  • Experience in Michigan preferred but not required 

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Location: Work remotely anywhere in the United States. If in-person voter contact becomes feasible, expect relocation to Michigan's 7th congressional district.
