JOB SUMMARY:
For Our Future and For Our Future Action Fund are seeking an HR Coordinator with experience facilitating day-to-day HR functions. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the hiring process, payroll assistance, helping staff navigate compliance and Human Resources issues, and other HR duties as assigned.
Successful candidates will bring all or most of the following skills and attributes to this position: a commitment to teamwork; have an exceptional ability to stay organized, manage their time effectively, and juggle several priorities that may change quickly; and possess a keen attention to detail.
Work will, at times, be scheduled in the evenings and/or weekends. This position requires creativity and flexibility due to the fast-paced nature and mission of our organization.
This position is based in Wisconsin. The HR Coordinator will report to the HR Generalist.
This is a full-time position through April 9, 2021.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
● Ensure timesheets are compliant for all in-state employees.
● Provide excellent customer service to employees and serve as the first point of contact for human resources inquiries & concerns.
● Assist with in-state hiring and tracking through HRi software.
● Perform phone screens and schedule interviews.
● Conduct interviews and reference checks.
● Update internal HR procedures documents as needed.
● Coordinate with HR Director to schedule team meetings and to provide follow-ups
● Support the HR Director in managing and resolving human resources issues.
● Perform general office administrative and clerical duties.
● Maintain logs and spreadsheets for all office activities.
● Assist with active outreach and recruitment efforts to find candidates to fill our key positions.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

● Familiarity with administering databases, payroll and benefits preferred.
● Experience working on projects in a fast-paced environment.

● Reliable access to functioning computer and internet access.
● Familiarity with GSuite and Google Sheets preferred.
● Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. Basic computer literacy and database skills.
● Experience managing staff and/or interns preferred.
● Experience working or volunteering on a field campaign is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
● Because of COVID-19, state and local government stay at home orders, phased reopening orders, and other factors limit For Our Future’s canvassing program. When these limits apply, your work environment will likely be your domicile (teleworking) or a socially-distanced office. Employees may be required to work and interact, in an office environment or otherwise, with coworkers, volunteers, voters, or community partners periodically.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
● Normal hours of business are from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday thru Friday, however employees will be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends and nights.
● Employees may be required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle, and generally not allowed to take more than 2-3 days off consecutively during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.
