Finance Director, Assessor race Cook County Illinois

We are running in a hotly contested democratic primary race for Cook County assessor looking for a Finance Director to start immediately. Finance Director will help execute finance plan including managing call time, managing prospect and donor follow-up and planning and staffing events. Our candidate is a staunch progressive running in a competitive democratic primary. Finance Director will report to the Campaign Manager. Must be in or willing to relocate to Chicago no later than June.

Finance Director Responsibilities Include:

• Execute finance plan including call time, research and events  

• Manage Finance Interns and Volunteers

• Staff candidate at finance related events as necessary

• Manage prospect and donor follow up

• Identify new donor prospects

• Work with compliance firm to ensure proper, orderly and timely filing of FEC reports

Finance Director Qualifications Include:

• At least two cycles of campaign work,

• Experience in political fundraising and event organizing  

• Willing to work full time and committed through primary cycle (ending March 2018)

• Impeccable attention to detail and follow up

• Well organized

• Working knowledge of NGP (or similar donor management program)

• Strong interpersonal skills

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
