Position:          Finance Director for VA Democratic Congressional Campaign 

 

Supervisor:      Campaign Manager

 

Summary:       Virginia congressional campaign in a targeted district is seeking an experienced Finance Director to continue strong momentum for a first-time candidate in a Democratic primary and through the 2018 election. 

 

Duties:            The Finance Director will work closely with the candidate and campaign leadership to manage the campaign’s financial and donor management operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning, call time management, donor research, online fundraising and organizational financial planning. The finance director will be responsible for managing call time, staffing the candidate, and generating new prospects for introduction into our call time rotation. 

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

·      Minimum of two to three years fundraising experience with a political campaign, a state party or national committee, or a non-profit organization.

·      Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

·      Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·      Impeccable attention to detail and ability to work with a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment. 

·      Ability to establish and revise fundraising projections, provide bi-weekly updates to the candidate and team, and revise fundraising strategy as needed. 

·      Knowledge of NGP, VAN required.

·      Project management experience and understanding of both state and federal election law preferred.

·      Willingness to travel throughout Virginia and nationally as needed.
