Job Description
A campaign for a competitive democratic primary in Southeast Queens and Western Long Island is seeking a Deputy Field Directors to build a field plan to contact and engage voters. The Organizers will be responsible for volunteer recruitment, training and coordination, candidate visibility, business outreach and staff management, achieving regional goals. Candidates with at least one to two cycles of campaign experience will be given preference
Requirements
Absolute confidentiality with regard to all aspects of the campaign
The ability to comprehend messaging for and articulate issues related to the campaign
Regular communication of progress and submission of daily reports
Adherence to schedule and punctuality
Candidates must be self motivated and willing work extremely long hours, including nights and weekends, in a face-paced environment
The ability to communicate electronically at all times while working
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/ Google Docs Suite
The ability to schedule 7 days in advance
The ability to remain on feet and walk for extended periods of time
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure
Familiarity with Votebuilder and other campaign technology
