Highly competitive race in the Northeast seeking a Finance Director for 2016 cycle to start in beginning of Q2 2015. This highly organized and knowledgeable self-starter will focus on an overall finance plan for the campaign and oversee in-state and national fundraising for the candidate. The Finance Director must be ready to manage a candidate, prospect their rolodex efficiently and handle all aspects of a fundraising program that is just getting off the ground.
The Finance Director will:
· Set and oversee the campaign’s overall fundraising goals
· Develop, implement and manage all low and high dollar events
· Develop, implement and manage all donor prospecting and research
· Develop, implement and manage proper pledge follow up and a solid donor maintenance program
· Manage call time
· Work with the compliance team on FEC reporting and compliance as needed
Candidates must:
· Have at least one cycle as a Finance Director/Deputy Finance Director or Finance Assistant in highly competitive race. Races with a national donor base or experience in the NY metro area a huge plus
· Have significant experience with Microsoft Excel and NGP
· Have experience with call time and events, managing a finance committee, and donor maintenance
· Have experience managing a candidate and relaying information to the principal efficiently
· Be a self-starter who is motivated by cultivating a new donor base and hitting quarterly goals
