Congressman Matt Cartwright’s (PA-08) re-election campaign is seeking motivated, passionate, and reliable Field Organizers to help him keep his seat in a district Donald Trump won by 10 points in 2016.

Compensation: $3,500/month

Responsibilities:
Implement the campaign’s field plan in assigned turf
Recruit, train, and manage interns and volunteers to engage in direct voter contact
Meet and exceed a variety of different weekly metrics including volunteer recruitment and retainment goals
Plan and lead voter contact events including phone banks, text banks, canvasses, and community outreach events
Develop relationships with local Democratic and progressive organizations
Cultivate volunteer leadership and grow volunteer teams to execute a successful GOTV operation
Qualifications:
Commitment to electing Democrats up-and-down the ballot
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups
Well-organized with proven time management skills
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to think creatively
Adaptable to changes in priorities
Ability to work in a fast-paced and metrics-driven work environment
Preferred (not required):
Some organizing experience (paid, unpaid, or volunteer)
Proficiency with Votebuilder/VAN
Spanish language fluency
Ties to Pennsylvania
Please note: Cartwright for Congress is strictly adhering to the CDC guidelines. We are currently working from home and hosting all volunteer activities virtually. Staff will be expected to relocate to PA-08 in the final months, but work will strictly follow health guidelines for the duration of the campaign.
