Finance Director

Highly competitive Suffolk County Democratic Race in Boston, Massachusetts seeking an experienced grassroots professional with finance and fundraising experience to become the campaign Finance Director.


The Finance Director is responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy throughout the Summer/Fall (2-4 months).


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Establishing and achieving daily/weekly/monthly fundraising goals
  • Building call sheets and scheduling call time for the candidate 
  • Supervision of direct mail and email fundraising efforts
  • Coordination of fundraising parties and events
  • Track and analyze performance, adjusting plans and strategies when necessary
  • Managing campaign finance reporting
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Campaign Manager and the Candidate

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have at least two cycles of experience with political campaign fundraising
  • Have the capacity to work independently, but the skills and temperament to guide and motivate others
  • Possess a high level of integrity
  • A history of budget management and field experience
  • Fluency in Spanish is a major plus!

The Finance Director will report to the Campaign Manager.


In order to be considered, candidates must be passionate and willing to work long hours, including some nights and most weekends, as necessary from July 1st to the primary on September 8th with the ultimate goal of continue through to and winning the general election on November 8th.


Compensation will be based on relevant experience and salary history.  Candidates will be considered on a rolling basis.
