Women’s Action for New Directions (WAND) is seeking candidates for the newly created position of Digital Field Organizer. This position will be responsible for planning and implementing our digital engagement programs aimed at promoting WAND’s education and advocacy work.


About WAND

Women’s Action for New Directions is a national nonprofit organization that seeks to empower women to act politically to reduce violence and militarism and to redirect excessive Pentagon resources toward unmet human and environmental needs.


WAND operates two nonprofit organizations with one united vision. WAND Education Fund is a 501c3 organization that educates Congress, state legislators, and the public on progressive national security issues. WAND Inc. is a 501c4 organization that engages the grassroots in the political process to advocate for national security policy change. Additionally, our Women Legislators' Lobby (WiLL), a program of WAND, is a national nonpartisan network of women state legislators who work together to influence federal policy and budget priorities.


Overview

We are seeking a creative individual who has expert knowledge in advocacy and organizing, primarily through digital platforms, and an ability to create grabbing online content that will be disseminated to our community and spur them to action. The digital organizer will be part of a team that works collaboratively on our engagement, education, activist and fundraising goals. This person will be passionate, versatile, and enthusiastic with experience using online tools to promote campaigns, identify new supporters, and organize people online to take action both online and offline.
