DCCC-designated Red-to-Blue campaign for a Western Congressional district is seeking qualified and energetic a Deputy Field Director to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative, scrappy team as well as flip a highly-competitive open seat.
This is a remote position that will report to the campaign’s field director.
Deputy Field Director responsibilities:
Develop strategies to help organizers adapt the statewide field plan to the needs of each turf within the district
Along with the campaign’s field director, ensure that organizers are kept accountable to meeting and exceeding metric goals
Assist in management of campaign digital tools such as MobilizeAmerica, Outvote, and others
Track progress to goal and coach a team of field organizers to success
Collaborate with the the campaign’s field director to ensure the campaign meets and exceeds all goals for voter contact and volunteer recruitment
Ensure organizing data is reported consistently and accurately
Act as the campaign’s ‘GOTV director’ to ensure all processes leading up to election day operate smoothly
Other campaign duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
At least one cycle of field management or comparable experience
Experience managing volunteers is a must
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tight deadlines with a smile
Strong knowledge of VAN, MobilizeAmerica, and other organizing tools a must
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work long and sometimes irregular hours including weekends
Sense of humor and willingness to get creative is a must
Experience with organizing in rural areas + organizing remotely is a plus
Compensation: Salary for the deputy is 4,000/month, along with healthcare benefits.
