Job Title: Paid Voter Outreach Canvasser
Reports to: Direct Voter Outreach Manager
JOB BRIEF:
This summer and fall, our Paid Voter Outreach team will take to the streets to address critical issues on the ballot for November 3rd. By contacting members of the San Francisco electorate through door-to-door canvassing efforts, our Voter Outreach team will inform, persuade, and activate the local community about what’s on the ballot and what it means for them. Our goal is to create a well-educated and motivated voter base to turn out to the polls.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contact the public via targeted voter outreach through door-to-door canvassing
Inform and educate voters about potential impacts of proposed legislation
Identify potential volunteers and activists at the door
Encourage voters to formalize their support
Track results of door canvassing via mobile application
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Must be able to walk 5+ hours a day, potentially up stairs/hills
Must be able to conduct in-depth political conversations in English
Mandarin, Cantonese, and Spanish fluency in addition to English is a plus
Must have experience with handheld devices (smartphone or tablet)

$16/hour
Minimum 20 hours/week
Maximum 40 hours/week
