Field Organizer needed for exciting ballot initiative campaign in San Francisco

An exciting campaign in San Francisco is looking for a field organizer to help pass a Public Health and Safety bond in the upcoming June primary election. The bond will provide funding for essential upgrades to the SF General Hospital, fire stations, community health centers, homeless shelters, and a new ambulance deployment facility. The field organizer will report to the Campaign Manager and is responsible for extensive outreach to individuals, communities, and organizations on behalf of the campaign. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

•   Identify, recruit, and mobilize community supporters as volunteers

•   Plan and execute campaign events

•   Maintain accurate and complete campaign data 

•   Create and maintain a campaign environment that is productive and welcoming

•   Perform additional duties assigned by the Campaign Manager

Qualifications:

•   Previous campaign experience 

•   Strong organizational, communication, and motivational skills

•   Driven individual with competitive edge

•   Team player who works well with others

•   Familiarity and comfort with campaign hours that often range from a 60 to 80 hour work weeks and include weekends

Preferred skills: 

•   Organizing experience in San Francisco

•   Ability to speak Cantonese, Mandarin, or Spanish

Compensation commensurate with relevant campaign experience. The position is located in San Francisco, CA.
