Digital Organizer
On
behalf of the national environmental advocacy community, the Partnership
Project is hiring a
Digital
Organizer for its National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Campaign. The Partnership Project, a coalition of national
environmental groups including Sierra Club, NRDC, and Earthjustice, is a
leading national advocacy organization that runs cutting edge organizing
campaigns around critical environmental issues.
The National Environmental Policy Act was passed in 1970 and is widely
regarded our nation’s “Magna Carta” of environmental policy. NEPA requires that
the federal government consider the environmental and health impacts of
projects on our environment and our communities and, critically, allows the
public to have a voice in such decisions. One of the U.S.s most imitated laws globally,
with over 100 countries adopting similar legislation.
This
role will be for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal. It will be in
service to more than 35 of the nation’s leading environmental organizations and
a growing number of regional partners that are currently engaged in promoting
and protecting the nation’s environmental and conservation laws and policies.
The position is designed to coordinate, support, and enhance the Campaign’s
digital advocacy and messaging efforts in the face of attacks from the Trump
Administration and Congress. We are looking for an
online organizer to join our team in using creative digital strategies to
educate and engage supporters, build a network of activists, pressure strategic
campaign targets, fundraise, and build long term political power.
We are a hardworking,
