Jimmy Van Bramer for Queens Borough President is hiring a Digital Organizing Director for the Democratic primary in Queens. Jimmy Van Bramer, born and raised in Astoria, Queens, is the Deputy Leader of the New York City Council. He was a leader in the opposition to $3 billion of tax subsidies for Amazon HQ2 and was the first Queens elected official to endorse Tiffany Cabán for Queens District Attorney. The campaign is looking for a Digital Organizing Director to join an established team to plan and execute a social media & virtual field program for Jimmy Van Bramer, taking direction and integrating feedback from multiple teams and sources.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

In this position you will:

• Work with senior team to develop virtual digital field and relational organizing campaign 

• Draft, produce, and publish content for Candidate and Campaign on social media channels. 

• Take direction and integrate input from multiple teams and sources. 

• QA content in accordance with our style guide.

• Review content performance data, interpreting and applying results.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals and enthusiasm for electing 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Enthusiasm for building meaningful relationships in the communities we’re organizing.

• Goals-oriented and self-disciplined; able to meet tight deadlines and multitask.

• Willing to learn campaign technology 

• Good sense of humor and ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment.

• Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

• Previous campaign experience or experience working with volunteers is preferred but not required.

• Familiarity with Queens preferred but not required.
