We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to support a strategic test automation initiative for a medical device software program. This role will lead the transition from manual to automated testing within a highly regulated environment.
The project is entering a critical transformation phase, where existing manual test cases must be automated, and an additional new automated test cases must be designed and implemented. The Test Lead will play a key role in defining automation strategy, establishing best practices, and leading a team of 4 Test Engineers.
What you will do
Lead and coordinate a team of 4 Test Engineers
Define and implement the test automation strategy from the ground up
Oversee conversion of manual test cases into automated tests
Drive creation of new automated test cases
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards applicable to medical device software
Establish CI/CD-integrated test automation workflows
Monitor test coverage, execution metrics, and quality indicators
Collaborate closely with development, QA, and project stakeholders
Ensure proper documentation and traceability in accordance with regulated environment standards
What you need for this
Requirements:
Minimum 8+ years of experience as Test Lead
Proven experience in highly regulated industries such as:
Medical Devices
Automotive
Defense
Strong background in software testing
Hands-on expertise in:
Python
Pytest
Jenkins
Experience with:
Jira
Jama Test Management
Git-based workflows
AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot)
Strong understanding of validation, verification, and traceability in regulated environments
Will be a plus:
Exposure to embedded systems testing (nice to have, not mandatory)
Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
Experience working with distributed teams
