JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates IT project management, engineering, and maintenance, QA, and risk management.
2. Plans, coordinates, and monitors project activities.
3. Develops technical applications to support users.
4. Develops, implements, maintains and enforces documented standards and procedures for the design, development, installation, modification, and documentation of assigned systems.
5. Provides training for system products and procedures.
6. Performs application upgrades.
7. Performs, monitoring, maintenance, or reporting on real- time databases, real-time network and serial data communications, and real-time graphics and logic applications.
8. Troubleshoots problems.
9. Ensures project life-cycle is in compliance with District standards and procedures. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
· 11-15 yrs. planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities
· 11-15 yrs. leading projects, ensuring they are in compliance with established
· 11 Years Extensive experience supporting administration and installation of Linux OS
· 8 Years Prior experience maintaining, installing and upgrading security and critical patches on Linux OS
· 5 Years Prior experience maintaining installing and upgrading security and critical patches for Windows OS
· 5 Years Prior hands on experience managing, configuring and upgrading JBOSS
· 5 Years Prior experience developing procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse
· 8 Years Understanding of routers; firewalls; switches; hubs; bridges; NICs; WAPs; SAN; modems and firewalls
· 8 Years Prior experience in configuration of IP Address, DNS, Gateway of application, and able to configure routing tables
· 8 Years’ Experience with system configuration and capacity planning and should be able to independently identify the root cause of system outages
· 8 Years Prior experience working with ticketing systems related to support issues
· 4 Years Apache, Tomcat and or WEblogic
· 3 Years Ability to manage directory servers such as ODSEE and OpenDJ.
· 1 Years Ability to support user account maintenance activities using Oracle waveset
· 3 years Comfortable training others and providing knowledge transfer
· 1 years Intermediate to advance knowledge on database query languages such as PL SQL, MSSQL.
· Bachelor’s degree in IT or related
