Position:Sr.Oracle Data Warehouse Architect
Location: Atlanta
Duration: 6 months

Description:Oracle DBA - Data Warehouse Consultant 6+ months
Perform DBA and Data Warehouse assessment work in a development
environment for an Oracle Data Warehouse (9.2) on Sun Solaris. Perform
9i tuning, STAR schema design, and all monitoring, troubleshooting, and
problem resolution. Create Oracle materialized views, use Oracle
Summary Advisor, and perform some shell scripting as needed. Use
bit-map indexes and implement Oracle Security features. You will
provide overall data warehouse architecture review and assessment.
Requires at least 5 years experience as a Development DBA for an ORACLE
data warehouse database (9.2). Extensive Oracle 9i SQL tuning (explain
plan analysis, TKPROF, indexing correctly, Stats pack analysis), Oracle
query tuning for a data warehouse, STAR schema design, and use of
bit-map index experience is needed. Experience assessing Oracle Data
Warehouse architecture assessments needed. Very large (1TB+) Oracle
database experience needed. Experience in creating Oracle materialized
views, using Oracle Summary Advisor, and a solid work history with data
warehouse partitioning is needed. Oracle Security feature experience
and strong UNIX skills and shell scripting required. Solid overall
performance tuning, optimizing, monitoring, and troubleshooting
experience essential. Excellent communication skills and having great
organization skills required. Any VPD(virtual private database), as
well as SQLloader and export/import are pluses.
REQ SKILL:Oracle 9i; Data Warehouse; Database Tuning; Star Schema;
Database Security; UNIX; Shell Scripting; Excellent Communication
Skills; Experience with multidimensional and relational datawarehouse
design (MOLAP and ROLAP).
Preferred Skills:SQL Loader; SUN Solaris
