Job Description:
GRT is hiring a database administrator/analyst to join a development team charged with a high-profile project. The right candidate will be experienced with database administration, development, management, and performance tuning in the context of multi-tier projects using current Microsoft technologies including Microsoft SQL Server 2005. The work will include optimizing and adding to an existing schema; performing query development and optimization as well as advising on best practices; implementing performance- and scalability-optimization measures; helping to improve build and deployment processes; advising on, preparing for, and possibly deploying and maintaining analytics and business intelligence functionality. The right candidate will be an excellent, concise communicator; flexible, outgoing, questioning, and a good team player. Adherence to client and team standards while displaying creativity and generating high-quality deliverables is critical. Candidates should expect to be asked detailed technical questions to assess their skills. If pertinent examples of past work can appropriately be provided, candidates are asked to bring those to the interview. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens, and should be prepared to show proof of citizenship.
Technology Requirements:
**Microsoft SQL Server 2005, including SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Reporting Services
**SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services is a significant plus
**Date warehouse design and maintenance experience is a significant plus
**Modeling: ability to create/understand ERDs and basic UML diagrams/documents
