Description: Business Intelligence Director:
Client seeks a highly motivated and adaptive senior-level Director with a strong history of establishing and expanding client relationships in a consultative sales environment. This individual will complement Client’s Technology South BI practice, and will have specific responsibility for the Florida region.
This person will be responsible for leading sales efforts for Fortune 1000 clients, including lead generation, solution development, sales presentation and deal close. Other responsibilities include helping Client identify and build new partnerships/alliances with key companies offering complementary BI products and services.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Consulting professional with a fundamental understanding of how to leverage cutting edge Business Intelligence applications in a dynamic business environment. Other key attributes include the ability to lead teams, managing dedicated and non-dedicated resources, while maintaining a strong sales and delivery culture within the organization. To succeed in this position, a detailed understanding of Client’s BI service offering as well as an ability to connect these services to the needs of clients through consultative selling will be critical.
Primary Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Support
•Become key member of Management Team formulating business plans and supporting implementation.
•Participate in business development activities, adding insights gained during sales discussions to identify new areas of opportunity.
•Define sales strategy, constructing and executing a comprehensive sales plan designed to meet aggressive company new business goals.
•Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of sales leads.
•Lead the design of consistent sales processes, working with Marketing Team to ensure the necessary sales tools are in place.
•Conduct sales calls and architect solutions for prospects with the support of other Client team members.
•Close sales and ensure a smooth transition from lead into new client.
•Preparation of client proposals
•Negotiation of client contracts and renewals
•Vendor partnerships, including the establishment of new and the maintenance of existing agreements
•Trade show/conference presentation and exhibit planning
•Participation in the development of advertising and marketing materials
•Self-initiated recruiting of specialty consultants as necessary
BI Practice Development and Delivery
•Manage all aspects of the client relationship for ongoing and new BI consulting engagements.
•Manage a team of BI and Data warehousing consulting mangers and developers.
•Program Manage existing and new client engagements.
•Provide thought leadership and content around DW and BI engagements, including development of DW and BI Strategy, and Solution Roadmaps.
•Effectively set and manage project budgets to backlog and other stated performance objectives.
Job Requirements
Hands-on knowledge of the data warehousing and business intelligence markets within recognized industries (consumer goods, pharmaceutical, financial, travel, telecom preferred)
Previous experience in a Practice Director, or similar position, or in one of the lead DW implementation roles, including DW Program Manager, DW Architect
Hands-on Experience with one or more of the following DW Architecture components:
Strategy/Architecture: -- DW Strategy, DW / ETL/ BI Architecture
ETL – Informatica, Data Stage, Microsoft DTS, BO Data Integrator, Oracle Warehouse Builder
Data Management – Oracle, Microsoft, Redrick, SAP BW, SAS
BI – Business Objects, Cognos, Oracle Express/BIS, Crystal Decisions, Brio
Previous successful Fortune 1000 sales or delivery experience, focusing on the business consumers of corporate data
Ability to begin immediate development with the objective of both short- and long-term business growth
Excellent communication, technical writing, organization, and presentation skills
Self-starter
Qualifications
•8+ years experience and a proven track record in Business Intelligence and Consulting Services.
•5+ years background in developing solutions for, and calling on, Fortune 1000 accounts.
•Leadership experience in managing effective sales teams, appropriately utilizing non-dedicated analytical, technology, finance, research, and marketing resources.
•An individual style that continually looks for ways to improve accepted solutions.
•Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and grasp the details of sophisticated business challenges.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation abilities.
•Outstanding relationship building skills.
•Bachelors Degree or higher in related field.

Reporting and Compensation
The BI Practice lead will report directly to the Officer of the South Region BI Practice and will interface heavily with the BI Director lead in the Atlanta region and with the other Officers in the South.
Preference for candidate local or cummutable to Miami.
