Description: IntraOperative Neurophysiologic Technologist (CNIM-required) Shreveport, LA - Various case load General Summary Under the general direction of the Regional Director, is responsible for conducting intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IOM). Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Prepares patients for and performs Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (IOM). - Attains and maintains competency in all phases of IOM and maintains high-quality performance in accordance with Joint Commission and IOM standards. - Understands and complies with companies internal clinical protocols. - Engages in effective and appropriate communication during IOM with surgical team and on-line internal personnel. - Completes and submits accurate and compliant medical records within required time frame. - Adheres to requirements for equipment and supply maintenance, clinical schedules (including daily, oncall, and travel schedules), medical and governmental compliance, and credentialing. - Performs other tasks as assigned, including (but not limited to) chart reviews, remote supervision, mentoring/training, and other special projects. - Establish and maintain relationships with our customer base. - Work with company Account Rep to help develop and manage sales and relationships within the hospital. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required - Technologists are required to have passed the CNIM national certification exam. - Knowledge of computer hardware and software in order to effectively perform duties is required (can be acquired through courses, previous job experience, and 3-month initial training experience with the company). - Analytical skills and systematic work habits necessary in order to provide quality IOM. - Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with others in order to interact with surgical team and internal personnel. - Demonstrated ability to be versatile, to be flexible and to plan when responding to scheduling assignments, performing work and meeting deadlines. - Must have current BLS CPR certification and immunizations.
