Description: Registered Nurse CSU/ICU Job Summary:
Our Cardiac Surgical Unit Registered Nurse is responsible for directing and coordinating members of the care team, focusing on the provisions of the individualized quality patient care consistent with organizational standards. Develops the patient plan of care in partnership with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patient family. Education/Work Experience Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of two (2) years CV/ICU experience. Must be able to perform a wide variety of cardiovascular procedures including CABG, off-pup CABG, AVR, MVR repair and replacement, and ascending aorta and aortic root replacement.
Licensure/Certification:
Current Licensure as an RN in the State of Florida in good standing. Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification. Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification. Current CCRN (Certification for Adult Critical Care Nurses) National Certification preferred.
Job Knowledge/Skills:
Able to meet physical and sensory requirements of job. Able to successfully complete orientation of job performance. Able to meet health standards for hospital employment. Prior acute-care experience preferred, Must be highly motivated and committed to a quality of care that emphasizes the patient first.
