Description: Conroe Regional Medical Center is a 360-bed acute care hospital in Conroe, TX which is 26 miles north of downtown Houston. We are currently in need of a Director of Laboratory Services. Under the general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Department Director serves as the technical and administrative head of the Laboratory Department. Is responsible for ensuring that the Laboratory Departments, Histo-pathology, Blood Bank, and Clinical Laboratory, are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, Corporate Ethics and Compliance program and current accepted medical practices in Laboratory medicine. Department responsibilities include but are not limited to; operations, fiscal, personnel and other functions as required by administration or departmental needs. The position will be responsible for working with patients ages: neonate/infant (birth-1 yr), pediatric (1-12 yrs), adolescent (12-18 yrs), adult (18-65 yrs), and geriatric (65 yrs and up).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A. Bachelors Degree in Biology, M.T., Masters Degree preferred.
B. Should have 2-3 years experience as a Laboratory Director in an acute care setting or 2-3
years experience as an Assistant Director in a large acute care Tertiary setting.
C. Minimum of 5 years experience in a Laboratory Department.
D. Must be Registered Medical Technologist and must be active member of state and
national organizations.
