What you need for this position:
Strong experience in the following:
*Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Windows Vista Business/Ultimate
*Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC)
*Oracle eBusiness helpdesk (user account maintenance)
*Macintosh OS-X 10.4 and higher
*Dell and Lenovo Hardware
*Apple Macintosh Hardware
*Microsoft Office 2007 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
*Microsoft Office 2008 Macintosh (Entourage, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
*Macintosh and Windows printer setup and support
*Symantec Ghost
*Printer setup and support
*Understanding of networking (TCP/IP)
*Understanding of file permissions and access control
Basic to Advanced Knowledge in the following:
*SMTP, POP, IMAP
*Cisco Call Manager and Unity
*VMware (PC)
*Parallels (Macintosh)
*DNS
*SMS
*Wireless products and technologies
*Mobile user client / firewall and VPN device configuration and support
*Thorough understanding of a network infrastructure including, but not limited to the role of cabling, switches and routers
*Anti-Spam / Anti-Virus Technologies
What youll be doing - You will:
* Monitor and respond to end-user helpdesk requests. Attempt to resolve issues, and log steps taken throughout the troubleshooting process. Ensure all tickets are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate status directly to end-users, and escalate issues to other IT team members as needed
* Support a diverse group of end-users in different countries via remote support tools, telephone, and in person
* Support Windows XP Pro and Macintosh OS-X based desktop and laptop systems
* Assist in Active Directory administration
* Support Blackberry mobile devices & iPhones
* Create knowledge-base documentation for end-users, as well as internal IT staff
* Create and maintain images for rapid deployment of systems using tools such as Symantec Ghost
