Database Applications Developer

Working Model: Fully Remote

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and maintain databases across the organization, while ensuring high levels of data availability
• Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports, and queries
• Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts

• Identify inefficiencies in current databases and investigate solutions

• Diagnose and resolve database access and performance issues

• Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems as needed

• Ensure all database systems meet business and performance requirements

• Produce ad-hoc queries and develop technical documentation to support business needs

• Determine methods and procedures for upcoming projects

• Experience managing Agile/Scrum development methodology

• Partner with Enterprise Architects to build and enhance solutions    

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):

•  Great communication and documentation skills 

•  Ability to review data for inconsistencies 

•   Ability to code in Python

•   Ability to quickly adapt to existing applications

•   Ability to troubleshoot and debug code

•   Understanding of Flask

•   Understanding of Linux

•   Experience with Java Script and J Query

•   Knowledge of Database and SQL  

DESIRED SKILLS: 

• Experience with AWS
• Knowledge of real-time streaming technologies  

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: 

• Undergraduate degree in Computer science or Engineering
