Job Title - Data Analyst

Remote is fine (If a candidate is local to Washington DC area, that is a plus)

Experience - 14+ years profiles only

 

Data Analyst who can support our Finance team (FP&A).  They will work with our data product team and will help to build analytical assets in support of the finance team here at CAVA, this will be a min 6 month contract.

 

Here is what we are looking for

 

Experience:

• Proficient in SQL and/or Python
• Previous hands-on experience in Databricks
• Nice to have – Prior FP&A experience
• Nice to have – Experience with a data mesh architecture

 

Position Status & Need

• Position Title: Data Analyst (Lead Data Analyst is the permanent role, but this is a supplemental Data Analyst)
• Position Type: Contract, with potential for long-term or full-time conversion
• Work Location: Remote fine, but DC-based is a plus (2-3 days on-site if in DC)
• Duration: Minimum six months, with potential for longer
• Driving Need (if new role): To support the finance team in the short term (next six months) due to an open lead data analyst position.

 

Must Haves

• Top Three Technical Skills:
1. SQL
2. Databricks experience (ideal, but not a strict must-have if proficient in SQL/Python)
3. Python or SQL (either one works, Python users usually know SQL)
• Other Technical Skills: N/A

 

Plusses

• Other Technical Skills:
• Experience building dashboards in Tableau.
• Background in finance and accounting (understanding general ledger, net vs. gross, actual vs. theoretical).
• Data engineering background (for higher bill rate flexibility).
• Key Soft Skills/Attributes: N/A

 

Day to Day

• Daily Responsibilities:
• Work in Databricks.
• Write SQL queries.
• Build tables.
• Work with a product team.
• Take requirements from the business.
• Work in conjunction with the existing FTE on the team.
• Basic data analytics tasks (joining tables, scheduling).
• Expected Achievements: Supplement the finance team's data analyst needs.
