Must-have skills:
EDU: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work exp.
7+ y of exp with Oracle, PL/SQL
5+ y of exp with Oracle Forms
PREFERRED :
PHP
Classic ASP.
Oracle certification(s); Git; Jenkins.
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Remote or onsite: onsite
Type: long-term contract
Duration:6+ months with possible extensions
Additional information: The candidate should be able to provide an ID if the interview is requested, to guarantee the Client that the candidate submitted, interviewing and showing up for work is one and the same
Requirements:
• Availability to work 100% on the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• Experience with Oracle databases with the capability to write complex queries
and develop complex PL/SQL database objects, including both DML and DDL (7+
years);
• Experience developing Oracle Forms (5+ years);
• Experience with database and/or SQL performance tuning (3+ years);
• Experience developing application reporting, preferably with PHP and/or
Classic ASP 3.0;
• Experience using code repositories, preferably Git;
• Experience using continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins;
• Experience with relational database designs;
• Experience with Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM);
• Experience with database query tools (i.e., TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL
Navigator);
• Experience in database security, including role-based security;
• Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML);
• Experience with Agile development, specifically Scrum, Extreme Programming
(XP), and Kanban (preferred);
• Experience in web development leveraging XML and CSS (preferred);
• Experience with jQuery ( library) or other frameworks (such as AngularJS,
NodeJS, and React) (preferred);
• Experience with environmental regulatory business processes and practices
(preferred);
• Experience working in a Florida government agency (preferred);
• Oracle certification(s) (preferred);
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other
Information Technology major, or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Provide maintenance, enhancement, and support for a variety of the agency’s
business applications;
• Assisting in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and
specifications;
• Research and document requirements of program users;
• Writing, translating, and coding software programs and applications per
specifications;
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines;
• Working with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers
to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software
systems;
• Providing mentoring and guidance to junior programmers.
