Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – Loan Operations
Location: Phoenix, AZ / Dallas, TX (Hybrid/Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong expertise in Loan Operations and Financial Services. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between business and technology teams, driving requirements gathering, process improvements, regulatory compliance initiatives, and technology-driven solutions. This role requires excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, along with an AI-forward mindset and hands-on experience with reporting and data analysis tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for Loan Operations initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams throughout the SDLC lifecycle.
- Manage and prioritize ADO backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process documentation.
- Support regulatory compliance and operational risk initiatives within banking and financial services environments.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data insights using SQL and Power BI.
- Create process flows, business workflows, and solution diagrams using Lucidchart.
- Perform data analysis and validation using Excel (including advanced formulas and macros).
- Participate in testing, UAT support, defect tracking, and release activities.
- Promote AI-first practices to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8+ years of Business Analysis experience.
- 8–9 years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Loan Operations.
- Strong understanding of Loan Operations processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Power BI, Azure DevOps (ADO), and SDLC methodologies.
- Proficiency in Lucidchart and advanced Microsoft Excel (including macros).
- Experience writing business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Quick learner with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of AI-driven business analysis and automation tools.
- Exposure to lending platforms, loan servicing systems, and banking operations modernization initiatives.
