  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during and after migration, serving as an escalation point when needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of migration processes, configurations, and system updates
  • Provide regular status reports on migration progress, risks, and milestones
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network, database, and application teams
  • Communicate system changes, downtime, and impacts to stakeholders and end users
  • Ensure backup and disaster recovery solutions are properly implemented and tested
  • Conduct post-migration audits and identify opportunities for system optimization

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in system administration with both Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Strong experience upgrading and migrating legacy systems to modern platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2008–2022) and RHEL (5–9)
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, and/or Ansible
  • Experience with configuration management tools and system automation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for OS-level and application-related issues
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
  • Solid understanding of system security, patch management, and vulnerability remediation
  • Experience implementing STIG-based hardening and compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with tools such as SCCM, OpenSCAP, Nessus, or similar vulnerability scanning tools
  • Familiarity with enterprise change management processes
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise or government environments
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
