Position: Business Analyst 3 (Architect-level)

Location: Austin, TX - 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Tues)

Duration: 12 Months

Level Description
8 or more years of progressive experience, with the ability to plan and accomplish goals using sound judgment and expertise. Independently executes a variety of complex tasks while demonstrating a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Minimum of 5 years serving as a liaison between Business stakeholders and IT Teams (Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.). Strong background as a Data Analyst (analyzing raw data) and as a Business Analyst (requirements gathering, technology understanding). Any project management experience, especially PMP certification, is considered a strong plus.

 

Job Description
Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs while formulating systems aligned with business strategies. Experienced in business process reengineering and identifying technology applications that solve business challenges and improve efficiency. Skilled in industry-standard business process mapping and reengineering practices. Prepares solution options, risk assessments, and financial analyses (cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build). Drafts detailed documentation of user needs, program functions, and development steps for system modifications.

 

Additional Job Details and Special Considerations
This role is for a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in digital transformation and business process reengineering (BPR). The analyst is expected to analyze, redesign, and optimize business processes to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include aligning business strategy with operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and collaborating with IT, product, and operations teams to support new workflow implementation. Strong analytical, communication, and change management skills are essential for driving organizational transformation.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Advanced business architecture expertise.
  • A proven record of leading large-scale digital transformation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the MITA framework.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Digital Transformation: Drive and contribute to large-scale transformation efforts, leveraging new technologies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Business Process Reengineering (BPR): Analyze current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement streamlined, future-state designs for measurable improvements.
  • Strategic Business Modeling: Create and maintain business process models (BPMN), capability models, value streams, and data/organizational models to guide decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leaders, business units, IT, and partners to gather requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Bridge Business & IT: Act as a liaison to ensure seamless communication and alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
