Project Name or Support System: Weblogic Administration
Rate is $60-65 hr.
Required for (months): 3months plus
Location: Brea
Key Technical Skills Required -
• Demonstrated knowledge of J2EE application development skills (EJB, JMS, Struts) and WebLogic development skills (portal and page flows).
• Demonstrated knowledge of weblogic portal administration.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows and UNIX environment from an architecture perspective.
• IIS and Apache administration a plus.
• Experienced in Weblogic 8 Application Server Administration experience.
• Leadership skills to work with multiple support and application teams.
• Must display willingness to accept responsibility, take initiative, use good judgment, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Must be able to act decisively and promptly while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Description of Duties –
• Administer WebLogic 8 environments for several in-house developed and vendor supplied applications.
• Assist in setting-up / verifying the Window 2000/HP-UX/Linux application environment for bea.
• Provide production control support primarily in the HP-UX/Linux application server environment.
• Install and maintain any third party software necessary to support internal and external web applications (third party drivers, EDMS client).
• Provides timely and accurate on-call support for production infrastructure components.
• Provides training or mentoring to large groups on tools or architecture concepts as needed.
• Prefer some experience with J2EE performance monitoring tools such as Wily.
• Debug and develop J2EE applications.
• Work with the business to gather functional requirements and work with offshore team to assign development tasks on medium to large development projects.
• Serve as technical representative for any external vendor sites used by the company.
