Title: Senior Marine Parks Officer (2 positions)

Salary etc: $78,511 - $89,141 p.a.; Full-time

The Senior Marine Parks officer plays a pivotal role in developing and maintaining key relationships with stakeholders in the management of Australia's Commonwealth marine reserves.

The two available Senior Marine Parks positions sit within teams responsible for managing stakeholder relationships and operational implementation programs for networks of Commonwealth Marine Reserves.

Duties/Responsibilities:
*Assist in management plan development and finalisation as directed.
*Assist with implementation of approved Commonwealth marine reserves management plans. Implementation works include liaising with stakeholders, managing projects, providing advice and reports for effective delivery of management plan programs and outcomes.
*Provide support services for stakeholder advisory and other groups.
*Contribute to high quality briefs, reports and submissions for both internal (including Branch, Division, Department Executive and the Minister) and external stakeholders.
*Manage projects and provide sound advice on proposals for activities in Commonwealth Marine Reserves.

Selection Criteria
*Demonstrated excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms for a range of purposes with a proven ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of groups and stakeholders.
*Demonstrated experience and knowledge of reserve management operations such as compliance, visitor management, Indigenous and community engagement, and natural and cultural heritage management.
*Proven skills in researching and collating information, database and records management, and analysis.
*Demonstrated project management and organisational skills, including attention to detail and ability to effectively manage tasks of competing priority to ensure successful delivery of outcomes.
*Relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or level of experience in Natural Resource Management.
