Position               :  MS Exchange consultant

Location               : Mooresville, NC

Duration              : 6 months

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Skills and Experience:

·         Experience in SMB or enterprise MS Exchange environment

·         Strong experience with Exchange 2003/2007/2010, planning, deploying and migration, including experience with mailbox server failover and cluster management

·         Extensive knowledge of Exchange architecture - databases and logs, mail routing and protocol support.

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Power Shell commands needed to manage Exchange 2007/2010 features, roles, mailboxes, performance and troubleshooting

·         Ability to identify and resolve problems affecting messaging systems performance, efficiency, and availability in a timely manner

·         Strong career interest with a focus on professional improvement focused on Unified Communications and Lync technologies

·         Ability to assess the need for any messaging system reconfigurations (minor or significant)

·         Ability to maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for messaging system administration and appropriate use

·         The Administrator should have experience in building, tuning and maintaining servers in an enterprise environment.

·         Firewall, DMZ experience configuring, certificate configuring; troubleshooting

·         Experience in Windows Server 2003/2008

·         Thorough knowledge of Active Directory from start to finish, DNS and Group Policies

·         SAN technologies

·         Strong knowledge virtualization platforms (such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V)

·         Ability to identify and troubleshoot server performance issues using native Windows Server tools and utilities

·         Thorough understanding of server hardware components to include RAID configurations and externally attached storage devices

·         Experience in  technical support/help desk environment

·         Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

·         Excellent customer service skills.

·         Ability to research issues and find solutions on your own.

·         Flexibility in work schedule.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Through strong technical skills, and well developed customer interface skills, ensure successful customer implementation, and operation

·         Pre-sales support including project definition, scoping/sizing, analysis of technical alternatives, and the presentations and/or proposal of results

·         Install, customize, and test to ensure the client is satisfied with the overall outcome of the deployment

·         The position will include opportunities to mentor other team members including client personnel

·         Interfacing with customer’s existing environment for successful integration of unified communications and associated applications

·         Taking ownership of customer issues to include; routing, prioritizing, troubleshooting to resolution

·         Manage and support servers in a Microsoft Windows environment to ensure backup, performance and uptime are optimal.

·         Install and configure servers in a Microsoft Windows environment.

·         Validate monitoring alerts, create support tickets as required and execute predefined troubleshooting procedures

·         Perform routine maintenance (windows updates, server reboots, backups)

 

Scope and Additional Information:

·         Looking for Staff Aug for an Eng II and Eng III resource with Microsoft Exchange experience. To staff aug the work required for O365/Exc2010 on premise decision.
