Position : Web Application Developer

Location : Carmel IN

Duration : 4 Months

 

Summary Description:  Web application development and integration to support internal IT Initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:

 

         Engages actively in building out a proof-of-concepts, operational dashboards and IT utilities.

         Works collaboratively with technical team members to develop and maintain solutions following Agile development principles and practices

         Designs and develops applications with an eye towards simplicity, reliability, manageability, scalability, extensibility, performance and re-use

         Sets and adheres to software coding and style guides to ensure consistency

         Writing runtime and test code

 

Requirements:

         Extensive experience and proficiency with front-end related technologies – Javascript, CSS/XHTML, JSP, JSTL

         Experience with WebServices (REST, SOAP, = etc)

         Experience or Familiarity on Tools/Framework below:

         HTML, Javascript, JSON 2(parse JSON

         MySQL Community Server v5.5.20, MongoDB v2.0.2 (NoSQL), other RDMBS

         Log4j

Junit v4, Mockito v1.9.0(Stubbing)

         Ruby, Rails, Ruby Gems

         Splunk, Wily APM/CEM, APM tools

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Position: Java Developer with Sybase Knowledge

Location: NJC NJ

Duration: 12 Months

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Java Middle tier/Backend Developer

·         6+ years of software development experience (preferably in the financial industry) and solid  experience with Java core and Java Web technologies

·         Experience with application servers Tomcat/Websphere

·         Experience with messaging queues

·         Ability to pick up and learn and adapt to newer features of JDK

·         Experience with multi-threaded programming

·         Knowledge of frameworks like Spring, Log4J a plus

·         Writing middle tier frameworks interacting with JDBC optimally and knowledge of Rest API and alike

·         Ability to write quick stand-alone programs from parsing to batch programs

·         Sound knowledge of data structures and core java concepts a must

 

Qualifications

·         Experience designing and implementing distributed systems with end-to-end Examples might include market data distribution, order routing or algorithmic trading, among others.

·         Software development experience in performance sensitive environments such as electronic trading,  front-office banking, trading,  etc.

·         Solid understanding of the interaction between application code, operating system and hardware. This especially includes understanding of networking protocols and their optimization.

·         Concurrent programming / multithreading experience, ideally on multi-core processors.

·         Understanding of object oriented development and service oriented architectures.

·         Development experience with Redhat Linux and Unix scripting

·         Network configuration and optimization experience, especially multicast.

·         Preferred experience with C# and .net a plus
