Product Specialist to convert existing VB6 and ASP.NET applications on the Pennsylvania Office of Inspector General's Intranet site to Microsoft Dynamics CRM
This contract is for a Product Specialist 5 Emerging Technology to migrate agency .NET intranet applications to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The contract is for no more than 555 hours and work must be completed by June 30.
The OIG Intranet site has multiple applications created in various versions of the Microsoft .NET framework. Many of these applications are primarily utilized by the Bureau of Administrative Services. The incumbent will work with Agency Business Analysts and Project Stake Holders to review existing intranet applications and create modern enhanced versions using the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform. The incumbent will utilize AGILE methodology to demonstrate and receive user feedback throughout the development process. The major initiatives within the project’s scope include reviewing existing intranet applications, creating equivalent solutions within Microsoft Dynamics CRM, fixing known issues within the user interface or process logic, incorporating user enhancement requests, and creating all required documentation need to use and maintain the new system. A business analyst will be dedicated to the project and the Product Specialist will work with the BA to ensure that user requirements have been captured and all approved user requests have been developed into the solution. Once a single system is completely migrated to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, the incumbent will move to another intranet application until the contract expires. Additionally, the incumbent will work with agency staff to document a process to maintain or enhance applications within the new platform. Multiple Product Specialists will be hired as part of this initiative, with each being given different assignments.
A qualified candidate must:
· Have 5 years of experience creating custom solutions and entities using Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
· Have 5 years of experience creating processes (workflows) using Microsoft Dynamics CRM
· Have 5 years of experience working with and interpreting Business and Technical Requirements
· Have 3 years of experience with AGILE development methodology
· Have experience with knowledge transfer to agency staff related to Dynamics CRM
An ideal candidate will be a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in the Customization of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011
The expected deliverables from this contract are:
· A modernized version of the agency Personnel System, Vehicle Tracking System, Applicant System, and EPR Tracking system. Additional applications will be modernized/converted as time allows.
· Detailed documentation/knowledge transfer required for continued application support
· Detailed user documentation
Work details:
ü The initial contract is full time, 37.5 hours per week, and ending June 30th; Work hours are 8:30 – 5:00, Monday – Friday excluding state holidays and other office closings. Lunch hour is unpaid and is 12:00 – 1:00 daily.
ü Work location is 7th Floor Forum Place, 555 Walnut Street Harrisburg PA. The location is a secure floor; the selected candidate must bring a check or money order payable to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for $20 on the first work day to pay for an access badge.
ü The selected candidate will have to pass an additional background check performed by the agency at agency expense.
ü The selected candidate is expected to comply with existing agency procedures and policies, including the agency’s “business casual” dress code.
ü The agency will provide the candidate with an on-site desktop PC connected to our network for the length of the contract, and include the use of the following products: Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and all licenses needed for CRM development and Microsoft MSDN license including Visual Studio.
ü The agency will not provide parking.
