Must have strong hands of experience with CICS, Z/OS.

Job title: Cobol DB2 developer

Location: Pasadena CA

Duration: 6 months + 

Senior Application Developer position with an aptitude to deliver high quality products for the software product under development.  Work in a very collaborative environment and will closely work with developers and stakeholders across the organization.

Experience with Tax Mainframe Applications

Essential Responsibilities:

•             Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies

•             Ability to design, code, and test software on a predefined schedule using technologies, techniques, and tools to ensure high quality, performance, and reliability, at varying levels of complexity 

•             Proficiency with development using COBOL, CICS, Z/OS, TSO, SQL, MVS JCL

•             Proficiency with DB2 

•             Following department coding standards, write well documented programs that perform effectively and efficiently

•             Performs system analysis and design in accordance with established procedures and policies.  Provides accurate estimate of time needed to complete work. 

•             •             Provides support for specification, design, testing, deployment, documentation and production

•             Interact with Business partners, Development team and internal departments to understand project business and system requirements

-              Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines. 

-              Perform Functional, System and Integration testing on select intranet and mainframe applications.

•             Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and interdependently to resolve complex issues in a timely manner

•             Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

•             Strong analytical, design, interpersonal and teamwork
