The DBA provides physical database support in a multi-customer environment. Position will provide support of daily database administration activities ranging from the simple to the complex.
Must have experience with at least two database technologies (e.g.Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server).
Must be comfortable in UNIX as well as Windows.
Must be able to read as well as write in multiple scripting languages (e.g.C-Shell, Bash, Perl, and PowerShell).
Must be able to install, upgrade and patch Oracle 10g/11g databases in a stand-alone or RAC configuration.
Must be experienced in multiple backup and recovery methodologies and possess a deep understanding of RMAN, including backup, recovery, incremental and cumulative backups, various recovery scenarios, and archive management.
Proficiency in SQL coding and performance tuning.
Oracle Enterprise Manage 12c Experience is a plus.
Oracle Golden Gate replication is a plus.
Cloud (AWS) Database and services technologies a plus.
Responsibilities:
Identify five to ten major responsibilities of the position. Assign a weight to each responsibility reflecting its relative importance in comparison to the total responsibilities of the position. The total should equal 100%. Include the key client for each responsibility.
